Alaska Army Guard Aviation unit supports UAA ROTC field training exercise

An Alaska Army National Guard UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter assigned to 1-207th Aviation Regiment makes a tactical insertion at Malemute drop zone on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, Dec. 2.  The air crew conducted air assault training with the University of Alaska ROTC detachment during its end-of-semester training exercise. The Alaska Army National Guard’s General Support Aviation Battalion routinely trains with all branches of the military as well as civilian agencies to increase its operational interoperability and to be ready for a wide range of federal and state missions.

Community pays final respects to unaccompanied veterans
