Pararescue, airlift Alaska Air National Guardsmen parachute jump into Kodiak

Alaska Air National Guardsmen pararescuemen assigned to the 212th Rescue Squadron executed a low-level airborne jump and water rescue training at Chiniak Bay near Kodiak, Alaska, April 10, 2025.

The pararescuemen were dropped from an AKANG C-17 Globemaster III assigned to the 144th Airlift Squadron and were assisted by crew members of the 144th AS during the training mission.  The Airmen of the 212th RQS are trained, equipped and postured to conduct full-spectrum personnel recovery to include both conventional and unconventional rescue operations.
