The Alaska Army National Guard Divestiture Program donated the building to Sivuqaq Incorporated May 17, 2021, where the St. Lawrence Island community will continue using it as a search and rescue operations headquarters.

Sparky, a sled dog belonging to Iditarod musher Aliy Zirkle, visits Alaska Air National Guard Capt. Kelly Buschelman, 210th Rescue Squadron, June 28, 2021, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Airmen of 210th Rescue Squadron and 212th Rescue Squadron rescued Zirkle March 9 at the Iditarod Rohn checkpoint after she suffered a head injury.
