Alaska National Guard Chaplain Corps Mission Statement

The Alaska National Guard Chaplain Corps sustains the religious program of the commander emphasizing the assurance of the free exercise of religion provided under the Constitution by performing or providing religious support to military members and their families. The Chaplain Corps additionally advises the commander and staff on morals, morale, ethical issues, and the impact of religion on all aspects of military operations. The Alaska National Guard Chaplain Corps uses the three core competencies, Nurture the Living, Care for the Wounded and Honor the Fallen, to provide the fundamental focus and direction in executing the Corps mission.
