Pararescue, airlift Alaska Air National Guardsmen parachute jump into Kodiak
Alaska Air National Guard C-17 Globemaster III pilots and loadmasters assigned to the 144th Airlift Squadron conduct a briefing with pararescuemen from the 212th Rescue Squadron April 10, 2025, at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. The pararescuemen of the AKANG’s 212th RQS, who are among the busiest combat search and rescue operators in the world, executed a low landing jump from the C-17 into Chiniak Bay near Kodiak, Alaska to conduct water personnel recovery and rescue training.
