Maj. Jayde Sharp, a flight nurse assigned to the 183rd Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, was recognized by Sen. Michael Guest and presented a U.S. Flag flown over the state capitol for his heroic efforts while deployed to Afghanistan in Jackson, Mississippi, on Jan. 20, 2023. Sharp, who was deployed in support of Operation Allies Refuge, was one of the many military members who responded to the mass casualty event.
