NMCB 5 Returns to Homeport

NAVAL BASE VENTURA COUNTY, Calif. (April 17, 2017) U.S. Navy Seabees, assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 5, return to homeport, arriving at Naval Base Ventura County's flight line to a homecoming celebration with family members and friends following a six-month deployment to the U.S. Pacific Command area of responsibility. During the deployment, NMCB 5 conducted construction readiness operations to help maintain U.S. Military facilities overseas as well as deployed Construction Civic Action Details throughout the Pacific to conduct humanitarian assistance and civic construction, in addition to providing exercise support.
