Submitted video by Gary Cooper. A final production package of the exhibit opening ceremony held on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at the Hampton Roads Naval Museum. The ceremony was held in conjunction with the U.S. Navy’s 244th Birthday; and also included the grand opening of the museum’s new exhibit “The Ten Thousand-Day War at Sea: The U.S. Navy in Vietnam, 1950-1975.” Speaking at the ceremony was Museum’s Director, John Pentangelo; Admiral Christopher Grady, Commander, United States Fleet Forces Command and Rear Admiral Samuel Cox, USN (Ret.), Director of the Naval History and Heritage Command. A special tribute to the U.S. Navy Vietnam Veterans in attendance was also included in the ceremony; with a roll call officiated by Commander Joseph E. Fals, Commanding Officer of the Arleigh Burke-Class Guided Missile Destroyer USS James E. Williams (DDG-95). Lastly the production includes some B-roll footage of the exhibit opening and ribbon cutting. (US Navy Video by Gary Cooper/Released).
