III MEF Information Group
Feb. 14, 2019 | 10:53
Royal Thai Marines and U.S. Marines conducted jungle survival training during exercise Cobra Gold 19 at Ban Chan Krem in Chanta Buri, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 14, 2019. The Marines learned essential skills necessary for surviving in a jungle environment, such as making a fire, eating plants and alternative ways to stay hydrated. Exercise Cobra Gold demonstrates the commitment of the Kingdom of Thailand and the United States to our long-standing alliance, promotes regional partnerships and advances security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region. The Marines are with Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Staff Sgt. Matthew J. Bragg)
