Nine time Olympic gold medalist Carl Lewis and Pulitzer Prize winning author Jeffrey Marx take a tour around Fort Drum, New York. The two friends and organ donation advocates explored state of the art Atkins fitness center, fired M249 machine guns on a virtual range, experienced what it is like to be Humvee gunner, observed intense MEDEVAC training, played a little ping pong at the USO with Soldiers, signed autographs, and rounded out the day having lunch with Soldiers.
Mr. Lewis and Mr. Marx are in the North Country spreading organ donation awareness in support of the Wendy Marx Foundation, named after Mr. Marx's sister.
