Footage shows Forest Service employees, Grand Canyon Trust staff and volunteers completing construction of a wooden fence surrounding a headwater stream in the Deer Creek area of the Cedar City Ranger District on the Dixie National Forest, Utah, Aug. 18, 2026. Built by hand to protect the stream channel and riparian habitat from damage, the project features fence poles hauled from Cedar City and carried individually across the meadow.
