Task Force Atterbury: Team Rubicon veterans support Operation Allies Welcome
Operation Allies Welcome - Operation Allies Refuge
Oct. 27, 2021 | 1:26
Mark Ryan McNew, a receiving section strike team leader with Team Rubicon, gathers donations in support of Operation Allies Welcome at Camp Atterbury, Ind., Oct. 27, 2021. Veterans and civilian volunteers work together to provide essential items to Afghan guests as they resettle in the United States. This initiative provides essential support at secure locations outside of Afghanistan. The Department of Defense, through U.S. Northern Command, and in support of the Department of Homeland Security, is providing transportation, temporary housing, medical screening, and general support for at least 50,000 Afghan evacuees at suitable facilities in permanent or temporary structures as quickly as possible.
