An HC-144 Ocean Sentry airplane crew from Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi monitors Mexican lancha crews observed illegally fishing north of the Maritime Boundary Line offshore Texas April 9, 2024. A Coast Guard Station South Padre Island 33-foot Special Purpose Craft–Law Enforcement crew interdicted two lanchas, seized 460 pounds of illegally caught red snapper and three sharks, and transferred nine Mexican fishermen to U.S. Customs and Border Protection personnel for further processing.
