On July 10, 1943, Allied Forces launched a massive amphibious assault on the shores of Sicily, known as Operation Husky. This successful operation allowed allied forces to gain a huge advantage over the German armies and ultimately led to the fall of Benito Mussolini's regime. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl.
