U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Jason Grimes, an AH-1Z Viper pilot assigned to the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, lands at U-tapao Royal Thai Naval Air Base, Thailand, Feb. 10, 2018. Cobra Gold 18 is a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored exercise that represents the longstanding friendship between the Thai and American people. “We are here supporting Cobra Gold 2018 in the Kingdom of Thailand,” said Grimes. “We are happy to be here supporting the Thai and working with them to gain a better understanding of their operations and for them to get a better understanding of ours.” Exercise Cobra Gold 2018 is an annual exercise conducted in the Kingdom of Thailand held from Feb. 13-23 with seven full participating nations.
