Interdiction of 12 Cuban Migrants-May 6, 2022

On May 6, 2022, an Air and Marine Operations (AMO) Multi-Role Enforcement Aircraft (MEA) crew from the Miami Air and Marine Brach detected three separate Cuban migrant vessels and coordinated interdiction with the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG).
The third Cuban migrant motorized vessel was detected at approximately 3:30pm local time, traveling northbound with approximately 12 persons on board. The MEA crew coordinated with USCG Sector Key West to establish an intercept for the vessel. A Key West Safe Boat responded. The migrant vessel was interdicted and reported 10 adult males and two adult females were apprehended.
