Tres Rios Ecosystem Restoration Project
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District
May 8, 2012 | 4:29
The Tres Rios Ecosystem Restoration project in Phoenix is just one example of how the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Los Angeles District is partnering with local governments and other federal agencies to help restore the environment and provide flood risk management in the arid Southwest region. The project takes effluent from the wastewater treatment plant and uses it to create an oasis in Arizona's "Valley of the Sun."
