Filipino and U.S. forces began training together in a Subject Matter Expert Exchange program during Exercise Salaknib 2019 this week. Salaknib 19 is a bilateral training exercise that strengthens cooperation in humanitarian and civic assistance activities and enables our service members to get to know each other and provide support to local communities. The military relationship between the U.S. and the Philippines is strong and based on mutual respect and cooperation. (U.S. Army video by Spc. Jon Welch, 128th MPAD)
