U.S. Air Force Special Tactics Water Skills Training
Air Force Special Operations Command
March 10, 2015 | 4:22
Special Tactics airmen from the Special Tactics Training Squadron participate in pre-scuba water skills training, 24th Special Operations Wing, Hurlburt Field, Fla. This program prepares the Special Tactics airmen for a master scuba dive course, which allows them to employ air integration anywhere, any place with any one of the joint special operations forces. Water skills also create similar physiological reactions as combat stress, enabling Special Tactics airmen to train their minds and bodies for resiliency. Special Tactics airmen are the Air Force's ground special operations forces, and often embed with Navy SEALs and Army Rangers to integrate air power into ground special operations.
