Sept. 23, 2024 | 0:56
The Independence-variant littoral combat ship USS Kingsville (LCS 36) arrives at its homeport of San Diego for the first time, Sept. 23, 2024. Littoral Combat Ships are fast, optimally-manned, mission-tailored surface combatants that operate in near-shore and open-ocean environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats. Kingsville is the first U.S. Navy warship to be named in honor the city of Kingsville, Texas (U.S. Navy photo by Machinist's Mate 2nd Class Nathen Parsons)
