Marines with HMH-461 and HMLA-269 conduct Ground Threat Reactions during ITX
Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center
Jan. 17, 2025 | 4:34
U.S. Marines with Heavy Helicopter Squadron-461 (HMH-461) and Light Attack Helicopter Squadron-269 (HMLA-269), both with Marine Aircraft Group 29, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, participate in a Ground Threat Reaction Exercise as part of Integrated Training Exercise 1-25 at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center, Twentynine Palms, California, Jan. 17, 2025. The GTR equips Marines with the skills to identify, respond to, and neutralize ground-based threats in dynamic environments to enhance operational readiness, in the face of evolving dangers. ITX enables units to mobilize geographically dispersed forces for potential future deployments, increase combat readiness and lethality, and exercise Marine Air-Ground Task Force command and control of battalions and squadrons across the full spectrum of warfare.
