C-130 Relief Delivery to Matshushima
Defense Media Activity - Proper
March 23, 2011 | 0:54
Air Force assets, such as the C-130 Hercules, transport equipment, supplies and personnel to areas needing earthquake and tsunami relief on mainland Japan. They also travel to Japanese Air Self Defense Force bases to pick up and drop off supplies. Tech Sergeant Renee Crisostomo (kree-saus-toe-moe) highlights a Yokota Airman as he performs his job during a relief supply mission. Fifteen thousand pounds of blankets, food and water were delivered during this mission. The aircrew that flew the mission to Matsushima (Maht-soo-shee-mah) also flew the first Yokota C-130 aircraft into Sendai Airport a few days earlier. Sendai was a location hit hard by the tsunami. Produced by Tech. Sgt. Renee Crisostomo. Includes sound bites from Staff Sgt. Shaun McCall, Combat Mobility Flight Supervisor (or Air Force Rigger or Air Transportation). jpearthquake11/ Operation Tomodachi
