Marine Corps Installations Pacific
May 5, 2015 | 2:07
U.S. and Nepalese service members along with media personnel fly in a U.S. Marine Corps MV-22 Osprey tiltrotor aircraft on May 5th 2015. Brig. Gen. Paul Kennedy the Joint Task Force 505 (FWD) commander, from Bloomfield, Conn., speaks to media after the flight. The Nepalese Government requested the U.S. Government’s assistance after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck the country, April 25, 2015. U.S. Marines from III Marine Expeditionary Force came together with other U.S. services to form Joint Task Force 505. JTF-505 works in conjunction with USAID and the international community to provide unique capabilities to assist Nepal.
