"On the occasion of America's 244th birthday, over 330 million Americans, will celebrate our nation's independence, while at the same time, pausing to remember the true cost for the freedoms we enjoy. Our founding fathers wrote a Declaration of Independence predicated on the self-evident truth, "that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." as we cautiously gather to celebrate our freedom and independence with barbecues, picnics, and fireworks, let us not forget the many men women and children around the world still fighting for the liberties we enjoy each day." - Maj.
