Army Medical Soldiers build medical readiness concepts
7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment
Sept. 6, 2018 | 1:16
The 528th Hospital Center deployed to Fort Hunter Liggett, California as part of their Emergency Deployment Readiness program.
The EDRE allows the units to train on the following tasks in an expeditionary environment: conduct expeditionary deployment operations, manage health service support, and manage hospitalization.
U.S. Army Medical Command supported this exercise through the professional fillers, (PROFIS) system, providing approximately 100 medical professionals from 15 installations across the continental United States, to the 528th Hospital Center.
The hospital center consists of 48 intensive care beds and 100 intermediate care ward beds. Medical services include: surgery, dental pharmacy, lab/blood, radiology and computerized tomography.
Lt. Gen. Nadja West, U.S. Army Surgeon General and U.S. Army Medical Command, Commanding General, visited with Soldiers and key leaders during the exercise.
