The California National Guard's 40th Infantry Division held a deployment ceremony at Joint Forces Training Base Los Alamitos, Calif., June 11, 2023. Deploying under U.S. Army Central Command, for Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield, this marks the first time since the Korean War that the 40th ID has deployed as a division element.
